Deicing & Anti-Icing Infrastructure

Critical Deicing & Anti-Icing Infrastructure at Airports

Client: National Into Plane fueling company at a Regional Airport Authority
Project Type: Building a fully integrated deicing and anti-icing system

Overview

AEAV designs and installs fully integrated aircraft deicing and anti-icing systems utilizing Type I and Type IV glycol solutions for airports. These systems are mission-critical to maintaining safe, reliable flight operations in cold-weather environments where icing conditions can ground aircraft, delay schedules, and create significant safety risks.

The Situation

The airport expansion required the Into Plane company to relocate its existing deicing operations. Due to its age and low capacity, it was decided to increase capacity and upgrade the pumping systems.

Airports operating in seasonal or unpredictable cold-weather climates face a recurring operational constraint.

Aircraft icing compromises lift, increases drag, and creates serious safety hazards. Flight delays and cancellations cascade across aviation networks, impacting revenue and passenger satisfaction.

Regulatory and safety expectations require strict adherence to deicing protocols.

Many GA airports and secondary commercial hubs lack modern, scalable deicing infrastructure.

Operators require high-performance, compliant, and rapidly deployable systems that can handle peak demand during storm events while remaining cost-efficient during off-peak periods

AEAV Solution

The system had to be completed and ready to operate by the start of the deicing season, around mid-October, to minimize disruption. TCS 3000 meters and electronic register heads set up, and an interface panel to put everything in the cloud.

Key Takeaway

Deicing and anti-icing infrastructure represents a critical, non-discretionary investment category for airports operating in cold-weather regions. AEAV’s ability to design and deliver these systems positions the company to capture incremental market share in a specialized, high-barrier segment while leveraging its existing expertise and national footprint.
