Daniel Hirschberger
Founder, President & CEO
Dan is an industry leader with more than 40 years of hands-on experience in environmental and petroleum-related construction. He has built a career defined by innovation, technical expertise, and leadership.
As the founder of AEAC in 1985, he has played a pivotal role in shaping AEAV into a trusted, nationally recognized provider of turnkey aviation fueling system design and construction services.
Dan’s vision, technical expertise and commitment to excellence have driven AEAV’s expansion across more than 30 states, delivering complex fueling infrastructure projects. His leadership continues to position AEAV as a trusted industry partner known for quality, safety, and dependable project execution.
Paul Sundby
VP, Sales and Marketing
Paul has been involved in above-ground aviation fueling systems since 1995, bringing extensive expertise in the development of aviation fueling systems. He holds a BSME from the University of Kansas and is widely recognized for his technical knowledge.
As a member of the NFPA 407 Technical Committee, Paul contributes to the development and advancement of industry standards and best practices for aircraft fueling facilities.
At AEAV, Paul leads sales and marketing initiatives and has been with AEAV since 2016, helping deliver innovative fueling infrastructure solutions and building client relationships
Sam McCandless
VP, Operations
Sam brings extensive expertise in airport operations, maintenance management, and organizational leadership. With more than 30 years of leadership experience in the commercial aviation industry.
Sam oversees the strategic planning, execution, and delivery of AEAV’s projects and services. He is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety and aligning project execution with the company’s commitment to excellence. Sam joined the AEAV team in 2021 and since then has been helping deliver innovative fueling infrastructure solutions that meet the evolving needs of the aviation industry
Neal Edgington
Director, Technical Services
Neal has over four decades of experience in aviation fueling operations and fuel farm management. His background includes extensive operational and management experience with major into-plane fueling organizations and airport maintenance teams serving facilities nationwide.
At AEAV, Neal provides technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
Neal has been with AEAV since 2014, helping the company deliver technically sound, safe, efficient, and dependable fueling system performance.
